The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, has issued a weather advisory for the period between July 16 and July 23, 2025, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms across the state.

In its official communication, the NSDMA highlighted that districts such as Mon, Tseminyu, Niuland, Dimapur, and Kohima are likely to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms between July 16 and 21, while the remaining districts are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall, which may intensify during the period.

Due to the risk of high precipitation in the hill sector, the NSDMA cautioned that lowland and foothill  districts including Dimapur, Niuland, Chümoukedima, Bhandari, Baghty, Tizit, and Tuli are vulnerable to inundated waterlogging, and flash floods.
