NSDMA requests public not to panic for state wide mega mock exercise on October 24, siren bell to be sounded at 9 am

The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department has requested the public not to panic during the conduct of the State-wide mega mock exercise on October 24 but cooperate for the smooth conduct of the exercise.

The NSDMA will be conducting the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx), a State-wide mega mock exercise on an earthquake scenario with a magnitude of 8.7 on the Richter scale.

“This exercise is being carried out to test the capability of the State in responding and also managing any disaster,” stated the NSDMA.

A siren bell will be sounded from the PHQ at 09:00 AM, further sirens will also be used by emergency vehicles participating in the drill.
