The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has on Friday condemned all acts of violence, killing and atrocities in Manipur and called for better sense to prevail and immediate cessation of all sorts of violence and vandalism in this highly volatile situation.
The federation has said that the ‘insensitivity’ of the Manipur government had instigated the situation to blow out of proportion in the State and causing mass civil unrest and distress to the people
‘While the entire region is witness to the many decades of conflict and instability, our collective aspiration for lasting peace cannot be negated and held hostage by few vested interest individuals and groups,’ NSF added.
The federation has further appealed to the Nagaland government to take up all possible measures in ensuring the safety and security of the Naga people currently stranded in Manipur and to immediately initiate the evacuation process.
