The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has condemned the murder of one Obed Kamei by ‘armed miscreants’ at Dailong village, Tamenlong district, Manipur on 20 July 2023.

In a press release, NSF President Kegwayhun Tep stated that such cowardly act(s) “threatens the fabric of Naga brotherhood and peaceful co-existence within the Naga family.” The Federation said that “peace and stability” in the Naga homeland cannot be held hostage by few anti-social elements “with vested interests and extremist ideologies”.

NSF demanded that the concerned authorities initiate action against the perpetrators and to deliver justice to the victim immediately.

The federation also appealed for “peace and unity across the Naga homeland and be wary of the unprecedented times and situation which is unfolding before our very doorsteps.”
