The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) had directed all its federating units and subordinate bodies to hoist black flags at their respective headquarters.

The federation states that the black flags signify its resentment against the inaction of the authorities concerned even after five days despite the perpetrators publicly claiming responsibility for the crime.

This exercise shall continue until befitting actions are initiated by the authorities against the culprits involved in the criminal act, NSF informed.

The NSF office in the Naga Club building in the heart of Kohima was vandalized early in the morning on 27 May 2023. Naga Club publicly claimed responsibility the next day stating that it acted as owner of the building. Later, on 29 May six members of the club appealed for anticipatory bail which the judge granted given that they surrender within three days.
