In commemoration of the 25th Anniversary Edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy, scheduled from September 13 to October 18, 2025, the Naga Students’ Federation & the Angami Students’ Union is jointly organizing the landmark event.
As part of the momentous commemoration, the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy Tour to all Naga homeland was flagged off on March 20 from NSF Martyrs’ Park. The trophy after a three day tour to Kohima village, the native of Late Kekuojalie Sachü, was handed over to the Kigwema Students’ Union on the March 23 by the Kohima Village Students’ Union.

The village elders, village council and frontal organizations including hundreds of students from Kigwema were present at the Commemoration program, held at Kigwema Council hall.
Various speakers illustrated their desire for a peaceful and united society through the solemn sacrifice of the two martyrs, and further narrated the 20th March 1986 incident which is now remembered as the NSF Martyrs’ Day.
The trophy will be kept at Kigwema village for three days and it shall tour the rest of the Naga homeland for a period of another 172 days, honoring their sacrifices and spreading the message of ‘Unity’. This was informed in a press release issued by the Media Cell, 25th Anniversary Edition, NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy.
