NSSB cancels examination of 61 ANM/FHW

In connection with the High Court of Guwahati, Kohima Bench letter No.W.P.(C) 122/2024/979-80 dated 20th August 2025, the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) has cancelled the recruitment process for appointment to the 61 ANM/FHW in the Department of Health & Family Welfare as provided in the Item No 4 of the Advertisement No.NSSB/EXAM-4/CTS-l/l 8 dated 15/12/2023;

The Board directed the Department of Health and Family, Government of Nagaland to consider bringing necessary amendments in the Nagaland Nursing Services Rules, 1988 so as to provide therein the education/eligibility criteria for appointment to the post of ANM/FHW in an unambiguous manner, within a period of 45 days from the date of the said Order.

On completion of the necessary amendments within 45 days, the Department of Health and Family Welfare shall within 15 days thereof make a requisition to the NSSB, strictly complying with the provisions of Regulations 14 of the NSSB Regulations 2020.

After receipt of the aforesaid requisition from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, NSSB would issue necessary advertisement for the same within 15 days thereof.

In compliance with the aforesaid order of the High Court, the Nagaland Staff Selection Board, has notified that the examination conducted for Item No. 4, ANM/FHW post, as advertised under ADVERTISEMENT NO.NSSB-1/CTSE 2023 dated 15th December 2023 and written examination conducted on February 24, 2024 stands cancelled with immediate effect.

Fresh recruitment for the said post would be conducted as and when the amended eligibility criteria by the concerned Department are notified and other directives are fully complied with.
