The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy & Direct Action Organisation (NTPRADAO) has on Wednesday welcomed the release of Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) – Post Matric Scholarship for ST students for 2022-23 by the Government of Nagaland.
Phamching Konyak, Working President of NTPRADAO, appreciated the government and Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher Education, for “understanding emphatically the plight of the students community” and conveyed that the organization’s plan to protest in front of the official residences of Minister Along and Advisor for School Education, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome will be aborted.
It also strongly cautioned the State Government to release scholarships at timely manner in order “to avoid militant action and unwanted turn of events.”
While appreciating the All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) for “resolutely fighting for the cause of the students community”, NTPRADAO slammed Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) for “sleeping with an unconcerned attitude and lazying around” when NTPRADAO is “ready to risk their lives through daring protest in Kohima during the Christmas season.”
