The NTPRADAO has condemned the statement by the Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) Committee’s from various Villages under the PHED Rural Division of Nuiland and Chumoukedima districts, alongwith the Dimapur Urban Division “for illogically and blindly supporting the PHED.”

In a press release, the NTPRADAO clarified that it holds not personal grudges against any individuals and organisations but “fighting an just cause with proper evidences and documentary proofs of the corrupt practices that has taken place during the implementation of JJM all over Nagaland, including the Civil Works undertaken under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).”

The NTPRADAO called upon the present PHED Chief Enginner, Er. Leyang Khiamnuingan, and his top officials inorder “to control unruly elements ‘within the PHED’s eco- system and sphere of influence’ for a peaceful settlement and set the matter right.”

It further stated that should the remaining central JJM funds should be stopped by the Jal Shakti Ministry, Government of India, and the pending bills be withheld and said that it will “not take the responsibility whatsoever”, since the PHED is intentionally delaying in setting up the already officially announced SIT/DIC.

Reiterating it’s vow to continue its fight against the PHED, the NTPRADAO appealed to the general public in Nagaland “to extend its moral support and solidarity to the organisation so that corruptions can be collectively exposed and corrective measures be initiated and taken.”
