The Coordination Committee of Nagaland Tribal Youth Organisation (NTYO) has expressed shock over the extortion act of NSCN/GPRN (Khango) for serving a demand notice of Rs. 50 lakhs to Aolemba Longkumer, a resident of 7th Mile Chumoukedima and a renowned entrepreneur by profession.
“This culture of threat and intimidation has no place in a civilised society, and the NTYO vehemently condemns the shameless nature of the self styled group in the highest term. NTYO is committed to maintaining peace and tranquility and shall remain steadfast in its fight against any form of illegal taxation or extortion,” stated the Organisation.

Meanwhile, the Committee also urged the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits at the earliest and ensure security and safety of Aolemba Longkumer as his right to personal life and liberty has been hampered by the demand and threat notice.
