The 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning, organized by the School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, commenced on February 24 and would continue till February 25. Er Bendanchila Longkumer, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, chaired the inaugural programme.
Prof Jagadish K Patnaik, Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University who was the Chief Guest delivered a recorded video. He congratulated the organizers for hosting the conference and encouraged them to organize more such events in the future.
Prof Sujata Dash, Programme Chair, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the key details of the conference. Prof N Venuh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, delivered a speech appreciating the School of Engineering and Technology for organizing the international conference. Prof (Dr) A Elayaperumal, Director, NIT Nagaland, spoke on the importance of ethics in AI and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Dr Soumya Prakash Otta, Jurisdictional Director, STPI Guwahati; Er Sabou Yashu, Department of IT, Government of Nagaland; and Dr Soumya Chakraborty, Director, NIMSR, also delivered speeches during the event.

Prof Sachinandan Mohanty, General Co-Chair, spoke about the 6th edition of ICISML, which is being jointly organized by the School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, along with the core team of ICISML. He mentioned that more than 1,000 papers were received, out of which 249 papers were accepted and will be published in SCI- and Scopus-indexed JOVE and PES journals, as well as in Scopus-indexed AIP proceedings.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Er. Ayangla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
