The Nagaland University, Meriema Campus has decided to call off their protest against the October 16 incident where their Pro-Vice Chancellor was harassed by a group while on his way to office. Following the positive steps taken by the University authority and District administration, the four bodies I e the Nagaland University Teaching Association (NUTA), Nagaland University Non-Teaching Staff Association (NUNTSA), Nagaland University Research Scholars Forum (NURSF), and Nagaland University Students Union (NUSU) notified to all concerned that the protest has been ‘suspended temporarily and normal functioning of work will resume with immediate effect’.

However, the four groups also noted that the protest “may resume at any time, in the event of any lapses from the authorities concerned if found”.
