NU Ph.D. scholar secures patent publication in Hindi language

Kohima: App enables users to listen to Hindi stories, poems, and essays in various regional languages

Ashish Kumar, a Ph.D. scholar in Hindi Language and Literature from the Hindi Department, Kohima Campus, Nagaland University, has secured a patent publication in the field of Hindi language, marking an unprecedented achievement in Hindi language and literature. Kumar is also an Hindi Officer and AR in-charge to the Vice Chancellor, NU.

This patent represents a pioneering innovation where an application has been developed to not only display Hindi stories, poems, and essays but also enable users to listen to them in various regional languages, PRO, NU, has announced. This unique feature promises to revolutionize the accessibility and enjoyment of Hindi literature across different linguistic demographics, it added.

Ashish Kumar explained, “This application is a unique endeavor that will enhance the way people engage with Hindi literature. By bridging the gap between written and spoken word, and accommodating multiple regional languages, we aim to reach a broader audience and foster a deeper appreciation for Hindi literary works.”
