NU Prof. Ambrish Singh appointed as visiting professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The achievements of Prof. Ambrish Singh, Department of Chemistry, Nagaland University, Hqrs: Lumami in the fields of corrosion and electrochemistry have earned him much acknowledgement of being appointed as a visiting professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) in Kazakhstan informed a press release by the PRO Nagaland University.

The Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University has expressed his blessings and stated that this is a moment of great pride for the University. Prof. Singh will be visiting KazNU for one month, during which he will engage in teaching, workshops, seminars, and hands-on training for students.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, also known as KazNU or KazGU, is a national research university located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is also one of the largest universities in the country that was established on November 13, 1933, by a resolution from the Soviet Communist Party’s Kazakh Regional Committee. KazNU is the oldest classical university in Kazakhstan named after the renowned philosopher and scholar al-Farabi.

In 2023, KazNU was ranked 150th in the world by the QS World University Rankings. The university has a strong academic community with 20,000 students and 2,500 faculty members.
