NWA condemns ‘act of barbarism and ruthlessness’ on Lt. Miasalhou by active wrestlers

Kohima: NWA extends deepest condolences to bereaved family, appeals for appropriate justice

The Office of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) has condemned the “heinous crime” committed by two active wrestlers, Neizosetuo Kire and Khrietsonyü Whuorie, both from Kohima Village under its Unit, the Angami Sports Association on 18th May 2024 on late Kezhalielie Lawrence Miasalhou.

The wrestling fraternity is aggrieved, NWA President Dr Hiabe Zeliang and General Secretary Vilekho Bio stated while expressing shock and sadness over the incident. The Letter of Condemnation also said that such “act of barbarism and ruthlessness” has no place in the Modern-Day World and should be condemned by one and all.

NWA vouched that Lt. Miasalhou was an upright and a respectable elderly person and extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

Further, the Association urged the law enforcement agency to initiate and deliver appropriate justice early.
