Two female wrestlers -Vekhonielu Curhah and Putifi Sharu Pfithu – representing the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) will be participating at the 2026 Federation Cup (Senior) in Free Style, Greco Roman Style & Women Wrestling scheduled from February 12 to 14, at Dasna, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh
A press release by NWA informed that the two wrestlers along with Coach Vilhou Lhousa departed today, to participate in the 2026 Federation Cup (Senior) in Free Style, Greco Roman Style & Women Wrestling held under the aegis of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

“The team left Dimapur this early morning and is likely to reach back Nagaland on 16th February,” informed the press release.
The participation was accorded on the invitation of the WFI based on the performance at the 2025 Senior National wrestling.
A briefed send off ceremony was held on February 9 at the NWA, Office, New Secretariat Road, Kohima with short words of encouragement and a prayer.
