A nine member team of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) who were part of the Indian Sports contingent under the aegis of the “All India Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Federation” (AITWPF) safely landed here in Dimapur on September 15 at 1.30. PM.
The team participated In the recently concluded 5th World Nomad Games 2024 after a week long camped at Astana, Kazakhstan, informed a press release by NWA.

NWA President, Vivolie Kezo on behalf of the Association warmly received the team at the Dimapur Airport and welcomed the team back to Nagaland. Kezo congratulated the team for their satisfactory performances though the team could not achieved any medal this time despite some were making it to quarter level, said the press release. He urged them not to loose heart but to keep the sporting spirit intact and move ahead with greater zeal and focus in the future.
Dinner was hosted by the NWA President Vivolie Kezo at his Dimapur resident and the team later proceeded towards Kohima.
