State BJP President Temjen Imna Along today said that the NDPP and BJP alliance is true and has always been strong despite occasional hiccups, which is natural.

He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party have together “given stability to the people of Nagaland by being a stable alliance.”
“We have allowed governance to happen, we have allowed infrastructure development to start its journey in a new facet”, the state BJP president said, adding that he hopes the PDA alliance will carry it forward and gain the confidence of all the people “including the congress party in Nagaland”.
Replying to a question on the RSS backed organisation Janajati Dharma- Sanskriti Suraksha Manch (JDSSM), who are demanding that Christian tribals be delisted from ST status, Along said that BJP is not associated to every individual or organisation whose name “co-relates itself with Hindi”.
The Congress party had questioned BJP’s silence on the demand of JDSSM while claiming that the BJP intends to take away the special status of Nagaland.

BJP National spokesperson and in charge of Nagaland State Nalin S Kohli too refuted any claims of crisis in the NDPP-BJP alliance and said that the leaders of the two parties recently had a “very warm and positive meeting”.
Kohli mentioned that the agenda of the party is “development, development and development that has resulted in the people of India and of different states to bless the BJP to come in government at the centre in different states”.
Stressing on the importance of party’s agenda, he said that Prime Minister Modi has visited the Northeast states over 50 times which is more than any other preceding ministers while Union Minister has made 400 visits which distinguished the party from other political parties.
“We will continue the good work, take it further” he said.

He also mentioned that since three states in the North East will be going for polls, the schedules of the party leaders including PM, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda, are being worked out but the campaign dates will be announced soon.
Pointing the different models of Congress and BJP parties, Kohli said, Congress is based on power and criticism whereas BJP model is based on service and performance making sure the development and scheme reach the intended beneficiaries.
When asked about the last manifesto he said, “some of it is doable in a short period of time, some of it in a medium period of time, some of it takes more time but certainly all of it is not going to take the base of what the congress party based hundred years for railways to come”.
