62 artisans attended the one day training on Market Linkage and Packaging for Artisans and Weavers organised by District Administration Noklak in collaboration with ILANDLO which was held on July 19 at DC’s Conference Hall , Noklak.
Imtisunup Longchar, Founder and Director , IDLANDLO in his address explained about the importance of proper ways of packaging and marketing. He emphasized on products not being just an item to be sold but the story behind the product adds value and worth pricing. Noticing the challenges of the locals to sell their products to further distance due to transportation, Longchar briefed on advantages of ‘Internet’ as one big advantage due to its visibility.

Longchar advised the artisans on creative yet sustainable packaging, emphasizing on the brand visibility and recognition to add value to the products. He also stated on the importance of educating the costumes especially on traditional items. Longchar expressed his appreciation towards the Khiamniungan weavers who still weaves with hands without advanced machines, adding that such weavers are becoming scarce in Nagaland.
ILANDLO is Northeast India’s first online marketing platform founded in 2014 by Imtisunup Longchar and Lipokjungla Ozukum. Over the years, the business has expanded to include a variety of services including logistics and their own brand named ‘Kheti Culture’ which specialises in packaging and selling of indigenous products.
Ilandlo was also winner of Start Up Nagaland at the CSR Conclave 2022 held at Kohima.
