Oriental College Annual Sports Meet Day-2

Kohima: Day-2 of the Annual Sports Meet featured 1500 metre race, shot put, discuss throw, football, volleyball and tug of war among other activities

The second day of the Annual Sports Meet of Oriental College Kohima featured competitions in a variety of sport disciplines from track and field to football, volleyball and basketball.

The three-day sports meet is taking place from 2 to 4 October.

The highlight of the second day was the exciting and competitive football final match played between Blue House and White House. Both the houses were equally strong and showed excellent skills and performance. In the end, White House won the match 4-1.

Day 2 of the Sports Meet culminated with tug of war for both men and women.

In the men’s category, White House won the gold medal and Red House the silver.

In the women’s category, Blue House won the gold medal and Yellow House the silver.

Annual Sports Meet Day-3

Friday will mark the third and final day of the Annual Sports Meet. The venue will be the college campus.

The highlights of the final day are:

  1. Carrom (men & women)
  2. Chess (men & women)
  3. Arm wrestling
  4. Badminton (men & women)
  5. Table Tennis (men & women)

The sport events will be followed by a valedictory function in which the Guest of Honour will be Mhasimhalie Matthew Yhome, President, Kohima District Football Association.
