The Oriental College, Kohima has fixed the last working day of every month to be utilised for staff mental wellness and physical fitness activities.
The fitness programme was introduced for the teachers to create a supportive and positive teaching environment that promotes well-being. The toll on teachers mental health can result in stress, uninvited ailments,anger displacement and anxiety, informed a press release by the college.

The College expressed the hope that this program will enhance mental well-being and physical fitness and ensure that teachers not only give their efforts to their work but also inculcate to live a happy and healthy life .
In this regard, the college staff will engage in certain activities like playing table – tennis, Badminton, carom, chess, Aerobic and Zumba dance.
