The Oriental College Kohima concluded its week long Cultural cum Literary & Annual Sports Meet 2024 today with Kethosituo Sekhose, Director, Youth Resources & Sports, as the Special Guest for the grand finale.
In his address, Sekhose emphasized the immense potential of Nagaland’s youth, citing raw talent despite infrastructural challenges, and commended the government’s ongoing efforts to address these issues. He highlighted that there are lots of opportunities for those who demonstrate hard work, sincerity, and discipline. Stressing the importance of holistic development in schools and colleges, he noted that co-curricular activities are as vital as academics in fostering personal growth. Referring to the state’s Paralympic shot-put bronze medalist Hokato Hotozhe Sema, the Guest encouraged students to set priorities, pursue their goals with determination, and reminded them that there is no “right” time to start—any moment is the right time to begin their journey toward success.
