A one-day orientation on schemes, rights and entitlement for BLF, EC, SAC and VF Programme was conducted at CMTC, Jakhama, Kohima on March 7, informed DIPR.

Resource person, Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel, Kohima District Legal Service Authority, Keduvi Zhotso emphasized on various special laws relating to women and children from sexual offence and domestic violence.

Child Development Project Officer Jakhama, Zubemo Jami highlighted on Centrally Sponsored Schemes where he maintained that the scheme aims to provide financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- for the first live child and Rs. 6,000/- for the second child provided the second child is a girl. He also informed that the benefits will be disbursed through Direct Benefits Transfer only.

Agriculture Officer, Meciesunu Sakhrie briefed on SRI Technology while Seyievito Neikha highlighted various schemes under RD.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Sokhrienuo Rüpre-o. Block Program Manager Jakhama, Vitsituo Mepfhü welcomed the gathering while vote of thanks was proposed by Khoto Sale.
