District Orientation Programme for Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan in respect of Tuensang District was held on September 19 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang.
The programme was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Shelley Katiry and a presentation given by District Master Trainer and JE, PHED, Tuensang Akhangjongshi Chang . The orientation programme was attended by the Line Departments from the District, Block Nodal Officers, Block Master Trainer, Civil Society Organizations and Non-government Organiztions from Tuensang.

A Block-level Orientation Programme on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan Campaign was held in the Conference Hall of City Centre, Medziphema on September 19. The programme was chaired by ADC Medziphema, P James Swu .
The chairman, in his address, explained the basics of Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, the reasons for its launch and the ways in which Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan will benefit tribal welfare and grass roots governance. Block Master Trainer (CHC Medziphema), Petevizo Terhuja gave a presentation on training flow chart, the purpose of Aadi Karmayogi, participation from stakeholders, departments, civil societies and their various interventions in this programme.
Office Assistant, SDEO Medziphema, Kuhokhe also gave a detailed explanation on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, its implementation, its strategies, key objectives of Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan and how it will promote a responsive, people-centric governance at village and community levels. He also stated the impact of the Abhiyan and its aim to bring governance closer to communities, improve delivery of public service in tribal areas. He called upon all the stakeholders, tribal communities, youth to actively participate in the initiatives.

Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan is India’s largest tribal grassroots leadership movement launched by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, which will reach over 1 lakh tribal in Nagaland and 608 villages will be covered under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan .
The programme was attended by all stakeholders government departments and nine villages namely Tsiepama, Medziphema, Pherima, Piphema, Molvom, Bungsang, Socunoma, Ruzaphema and Moava, and representatives from Chakroma Youth Organisation. Interactive session was also conducted where queries were taken up and were answered thoroughly by the resource person.
