A One-day orientation training on External Evaluation of Schools for District Level External Evaluators at District Education Office (DEO) Mokokchung, on 12 September. The training was organized by State Mission Authority, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland under the National Programme on School Standards and Evaluation (NPSSE) or Shaala Siddhi exercise.

Sentinenla, District Education Officer Mokokchung, during her welcome address stressed on the importance of assessing schools and identify the strengths and areas for improvement. She urged the external evaluators to procure and provide accurate data so that the schools would be evaluated and benefited accordingly.

Rukozo Hosi, State Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, was the main instructor at the programme.

Earlier, Temjensangla, Project Assistant, In-charge of Shaala Siddhi DMA SS Mokokchung chaired the program while the vote of thanks was delivered by Imkongwabang, Asst. District Coordinator, DMA Samagra Shiksha Mokokchung.

NPSSE or Shaala Siddhi is an initiation of National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), under the aegis of Union Ministry of Human Resource Development. NPSSE visualizes ‘School Evaluation’ as the means and ‘School Improvement’ as the goal.  It refers to evaluating the individual school and its performance in a holistic and continuous manner leading to school improvement in an incremental manner.
