Temjen Imna Along, Nagaland Minister and outgoing State BJP president, conveyed his gratitude to central leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party and also the state unit for trusting him with the position of State’s party president since 2018 till today. He stated that the party had faced challenges but celebrated triumphs too and that he looks “forward to new adventures and responsibilities to contribute to our shared goals in different capacities.”
On Monday, the BJP appointed Banjamin Yepthomi as the new Nagaland State President with immediate effect. Along congratulated his successor, whom he described as “a dedicated and a hardworking karyakarta”, and expressed his enthusiasm of the “fresh perspectives and opportunities that lie ahead under his leadership.” He stated that he had the utmost faith in the team that will follow. “I am confident that under his leadership, BJP Nagaland State Unit shall achieve greater heights and glory,” Along added.

The outgoing president also said that the “experience and the knowledge that I have gained during my time in this role have been invaluable” and that he was “deeply appreciative of the opportunities”.

In his note of gratitude, Along specially mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President J P Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National General Secretary (ORG) B L Santhosh, Former General Secretary (ORG) Ram Lal, Former National General Secretary & North East in-charge Ram Madhav, Chief Minister of Assam and Chairman NEDA Himanta Biswa Sharma Nalin Kohli, National Spokesperson & In-charge of Nagaland, and Abhay Kumar Giri, General Secretary (ORG) of Nagaland, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton and the entire ranks and file and the karyakartas of BJP Nagaland State Unit.
Along said that the accomplishments of the party during his tenure were testaments to the incredible teamwork and further assured his continued guidance and support whenever needed.
