The Chess Coaching Camp being organised by Nagaland Chess Association receives a warm response from students as over 100 of them are participating in the event which is being held at DMI St Joseph’s Global school, Ikishe Village, Chümoukedima. The camp commenced today and will continue till 13th May 2024.
Nagaland Chess Association is conducting this initiative under the ‘Chess in Schools’ project of the All India Chess Federation (AICF) which aims to include chess in schools across India as a subject in the near future.
In this camp at Chümoukedima, four coaches/trainers are taking the responsibility to teach the students how to play the board game. The coaches are:
- Mughaho Awomi- International Arbiter, National instructor, Chess Instructor YRS
- Bovito Yeptho- AICF Chess trainer
- Pikuto Chishi – AICF Chess Trainer
- Nipeto Hesso- National Arbiter, AICF Chess Trainer.
