The Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (NIMSR) organised a  Special Health Camp on October 7  at  NIMSR, Phreibagei Kohima.

Dr. Soumya Chakraborty, Director, NIMSR mentioned that the Special Health camp was organised in collaboration with the Seikhazou Primary Health Care to provide medical assistance to the labourers and the fourth grade employees who do not get access to medical assistant easily because of their busy schedule .

“These are the silent workers who had made this medical college happened,” said Dr. Chakraborty.

She informed that over 300 people came forward to get treated.

Doctors from NHAK and Seikhazou PHC volunteered to assist in the health camps. Free medicine, consultations, immunisation to the pregnant women and children, family planning and health programs were also provided.
