Party will leave no stones unturn to bring better governance and form Congress Government by 2028: MP Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka

Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, MP (Lok Sabha) from Odisha who is also the new AICC Incharge of Nagaland during a press conference on March 6 at Congress Bhavan spoke on the appointment of new secretary, general secretary in charges of various states by AICC and as part of that his visit to Nagaland is to meet Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee.

 

While addressing the media, the AICC Incharge of Nagaland reminded on the last Lok Sabha election where the people of Nagaland delivered a thumping majority to MP Supongmeren Jamir, labelling it as ‘phenomenal’. He also acknowledged the love and affection of the people of Nagaland. “Congress party firmly believes that because of the misrule  of the present government and the stepmotherly attitude of GoI, it’s high time that there should be a change in Nagaland,” stated Saptagiri.

He emphasized that his appointment comes with ensuring that that they will leave no stones unturned, expressing optimism on the formation of Congress government in Nagaland by 2028. Saptagiri informed that the Congress party will be conducting district tours where two sections will visit different districts and ensure that committees are formed in the next three months.

“Given the positive mood of the people in last LS election is something to strongly believe in and the time has come for the Congress to step up,” Saptagiri ensured.

He also asserted that the people of Nagaland deserve better governance and deserve a corruption-free government. “As a party, whatever things need to be done will be done in a proper way: not only political issues in Nagaland but road , education, unemployment, price rise issues , corruption and all pertaining issues will be looked upon. It is high time to say no to corruption and to do away with all the false promises of PM Modi. Congress is doing its homework to ensure that when the time comes, we are ready to take the opportunity and provide good governance in state and country,” the AICC incharge highlighted.

In his address, MP Supongmeren Jamir said that the visit of Saptagiri is to understand the challenges and problems faced by Nagas and find ways to provide a  solution. “A leader like Saptagiri having our state incharge will definitely bring a change. We are confident that we will work for our common people,” added MP Supongmeren.
