Patkai Christian College (A) holds Graduation Ceremony 2023 for UG, PG

Chümoukedima: Imkongnukla urges students to follow PCC’s motto “Light and Truth”

Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) 1st Under Graduate (UG) cum Post Graduate (PG) Graduation Ceremony 2023 was held on 15th July at Bundrock Chapel cum college Auditorium focus on the theme “Intelligence Plus Character- That is the Goal of True Education”- Martin Luther King.

It was mentioned in a press release that the event marked a significant milestone in the academic journey total number 328 graduating students were present in the celebration.

Imkongnukla Ao, EAC (UPSC-CSE 2022), an alumnus of Patkai Christian College, was the special guest. In her speech, she stated that graduation is not the end but the beginning of new life. She encouraged the students that no matter where life takes one, not to compare it with others’ and to always follow one’s heart as everyone have their own time zone.

She also highlighted four points in her speech –

  1. Not to make excuses and grab every opportunity that come along
  2. One must not give up easily up on dreams
  3. The world is full of competition so therefore one should be the best one in whatever works they do
  4. One should be a solution finder in a society

Imkongnukla ended her speech by urging all the students to live by the motto of their college “Light and Truth” and to hold on to truth and walk in the light.

Earlier in the program, the welcome note was delivered by Dr Thepfuvilie Pieru, Principal, Patkai Christian College (A). Also, exultation was presented by Margaret Shishak School of Music; speech on behalf of outgoing students PG- Pouthoilung and UG- Luyi Chiswute; special presentation from Dr Satuo Sekhose Memorial Academic Excellence Awards followed by gold medalists, certificate and digital certificates were also presented to students for their achievements in various categories; Charge to the graduates by Tiakhal Jamir; and benediction from Asen Longchari.
