Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton visited the markets of Kohima today as part of the ongoing GST Bachat Utsav campaign. The campaign, being held under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi  and guided by the Bharatiya Janata Party under the direction of National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, seeks to spread awareness about the benefits of GST reforms across the country.

During the visit, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with shopkeepers and traders, sharing how GST reforms have made the tax system simpler, reduced the burden on small businesses, and ensured that citizens receive goods and services at fairer prices. These measures are helping both trade and the wider economy move forward with greater strength.

Shopkeepers expressed their support by echoing the message of “Garv Se Kaho, Yah Swadeshi Hai,” showing pride in local enterprise and commitment towards a self-reliant India.
