Campaigning at Humtso and Elumyo villages in Wokha district on Friday for Dr Chumben Murry, MLA Y.M Humtsoe declared that the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) is expecting to get at least 11 lakh votes of the total 13 lakh electorates in Nagaland. Humstoe also refuted the claims of BJP being anti-Christian and highlighted its inclusive nature.

The MLA also expressed gratitude to the PDA government for awarding the ticket to the lone Nagaland Lok Sabha seat to a Lotha after 61 years. He praised Chief Minister Rio’s development efforts and urged villagers to pray for his well-being. Further, Humtsoe appealed to Elumyo and Humtsoe villages to unitedly rally behind Dr Murry on 19 April 2024.

In his speech, former 38 A/C candidate Renponthung Ezung criticized the Congress for including the LGBTQAI+ in its manifesto stating that it contradicts with Christian teachings. Ezung maintained that the BJP respects Christian sentiments and called for unity and support for Dr. Murry “the most eligible candidate”.
