PDA will continue to give stability and good governance: State Spokesperson Along refutes allegations on rifts within NDPP and BJP

Minister Temjen Imna Along, newly appointed State spokesperson today dismissed all speculations of a rift within the ruling alliance partners NDPP and BJP post the Lok Sabha election results and assured that the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government is intact.

“In politics, many things happen but the core value of the PDA is always strong and will continue to give stability and good governance as far as possible to the people of the state of Nagaland,” said Imna Along.

The Minister also downplayed what he termed as assumptions that the Urban Local Bodies election were a test for the NDPP-BJP alliance and said that there are people who want to presume to see the PDA alliance as weak. He affirmed the people of PDA’s commitment of unity and said PDA alliance under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Ministers Y.Patton and T.R Zeliang, have an agenda, which he said, Is Nagaland and for the issues that are there in the state.

“The PDA alliance together with the opposition-less government is committed to try and facilitate in every way possible to resolve those issues together with corrosive development of the state. So, I think that is the biggest reason that will keep the PDA alliance strong and keep on going,” the Minister added.

Meanwhile, on the indo Naga political issue, Along underscored that the Rio led government has always been positive and willing to facilitate the Naga Political issues settlement in the best possible way, in the fastest possible manner

Along asserted that the PDA alliance aspires to see the mitigation of Naga issue positively and to this he said, “We also need to be assertive as a people first and help build the confidence of the state and central government to come together, together with the political groups who are in discussion or discourse to be able to solve that, all have to come together and that should be done first.”

According to the State Spokesperson, without sitting across the table and discoursing and discussing the issue, Nagas will not be able to reach to a final settlement. Exuding confidence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Along said “The state government has set up a political affairs group exactly after the new government has been formed. The state government is confident of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s leadership and the NDA alliance. The state government under CM Rio, we are committed to seeing our people have lasting peace for development and prosperity in the state.”
