Native Feathers knocked down the winning streak of Puiteing FC by beating the top league table team 2-1 on Saturday at the ongoing first Peren District Football League (PDFL) organised by Peren District Football Association (PDFA) at Jalukie ‘B’ village ground.
Barak FA, Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA) and Prime FC also won their respective matches.
Here are the match highlights.
Native Feathers vs Puiteing FC
Native Feathers defeated the top league team Puiteing FC but the latter still stands as the top team in the league points table.
Four minutes into the match, captain of Native Feathers Khiuwangbo Kaurintah found the back of the net through a free kick. Puiteing FC failed to make any breakthrough for the equaliser in the first half.
After the breather, a rejuvenated Puiteing fought back and netted the equaliser through Wibonjibo at the 55th minute. Both teams displayed their spirited efforts to take the upper hand. In a thrilling match, Mezibui of Native Feathers sealed the deal by scoring at the 85th minute making it 2-1.
Failing to maintain its winning streak, Puiteing FC had to concede to a defeat.
Barak FA vs NZSA

In the first match, Barak FA hammered NZSA 4-1.
Captain of Barak FA Kenumdi scored four goals and secured a hat-trick at the 22nd, 45+2, 64th and 88th minute.
The lone goal from NZSA came from captain Ilungrai at the 39th minute.
NASA vs Benreu FC

In the second match, NASA beat Benreu FC 5-4.
In a nine-goal thriller, Ningteu of NASA drew the first blood at the 7th minute of the game.
The equalizing goal from Benreu FC came at the 32nd minute of the game. Ngialung of NASA made a comeback to lead the goal in the scoreboard only for Benreu FC’s Ilamcung to equalise the score at the 52nd minute.
Ningteu again struck twice at the 74th and 80th minute. Determined Benreu FC came back when Rangrangbe, Kethozhapu and Digumpeung scored a goal each at the 58th, 72nd and 88th minute respectively. However, Benreu FC failed to find the equaliser.
NASA won scoring 5 goals.
Prime FC vs Lekie Mtei FC
Prime FC blanked Lekie Mtei FC 5-0 in the third match.
The first goal came from Ngaugiadi at the 26th minute. Haidingbe of Prime FC scored at the 26th and 36th minute of the game.
Kambeu came back again with a goal at the 51st minute and the last goal came from Kailinbo in the 81st minute of the game which was enough to seal the deal.
Lekie Mtei FC tried to fight back but couldn’t manage to score a goal.
