The Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) on Thursday expressed happiness and pride over the recent accomplishments of its members and athletes who brought laurels to the district.
In a press statement, PDSA President Nezosa Tetseo stated that Mudotsu Dozo son of Vepotso Dozo from Thüvopisü Village, a member of the Indian men’s sepaktakraw team, clinched two gold medals in the team event and regu event at the 6th South Asian Sepaktakraw Championship held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from February 6 to 11.
He is currently attending the national camp in preparation for the 20th Asian Games. The association wished him continued focus, strength and success as he prepares to represent the country at higher international platforms.
Meanwhile, Yoto Chizo, son of Razuchi Chizo from Khutsokhuno village, a Muaythai athlete from Nagaland, successfully completed the Muaythai Instructor Course for Foreigners for the fiscal year 2025. He received his certificate from the office of the Board of Boxing Sports under the Sports Authority of Thailand, Ministry of Tourism & Sports, on February 9, 2026.

The association described his achievement as a proud milestone that not only elevates his personal career but also strengthens the foundation of Muaythai in the district and the state.
The PDSA stated that both athletes have demonstrated unwavering dedication, discipline and commitment to excellence. Their accomplishments stand as an inspiration to young sportspersons across Phek district, proving that with perseverance and hard work, athletes from the region can shine on national and international stages.
The PDSA further encouraged them to continue striving for greater heights, uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, and serve as role models for the upcoming generation. It reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and nurturing sporting talents in the district and wished both Mudotsu Dozo and Yoto Chizo even greater success in their future endeavours.
