“Happy is the man who makes a living by his hobby.” Supe, a young woman from Noklak Village, is one of the many who believes in this saying and acted on turning her passion into a dream project – Peace Garden.

Supe says that even as a child, she had great fondness for collecting varieties of plants and flowers. Her little hobby inspired her to build a bigger garden where she can share her passion and her joy with other people. Hence, she began to design a breath-taking garden in Noklak which would allow her to continue gardening at a larger scale and also earn a living while also giving a peaceful getaway for the people of Noklak Town.

Supe says that she named her project ‘Peace Garden’ because she desires that anybody who visits the garden can experience ‘peace of mind’. She wished that her garden will provide calmness and soothe tired mind and body.

Peace Garden has a restaurant where visitors can enjoy order nourishing food. Guests can enjoy their meals inside the restaurant or pick a spot under the sheds in the scenic garden that overlooks the virgin mountains. The garden is perfect for a quiet time with a book or to have a fun time with friends and family.

The journey has not been easy, Supe says, sharing her struggles and challenges. “Due to financial shortage, I could not complete the work, so little by little every day, I could come this far today which took three to four years, putting my sweat, time and money,” the brave young woman said.

Supe says that though Peace Garden opened on 7th February 2023, it is an ongoing project.  The entrepreneur from Noklak Village asserts that her goal is not only to generate an income through her venture but more about enjoying her love for gardening.
