Marking the 114th and 115th publications of PenThrill Publication House, “Raindrops of Dostoevsky” and “Loving Lauren & Lauren” written by Nzan Kikon were formally released today at Otssi Ohan Kohima with a dedicatory prayer by Medoneilie Mechülho, Chaplain of G Rio Higher Secondary School Kohima.

Speaking at the launch, Nzan Kikon said that “Raindrops of Dostoevsky”, his debut collection of poems is a ‘natural progression’ of his writing journey while stating that, “when you are deep into literature, poetry is the quintessential manifestation”.

In the poetry book, he highlighted that he is battling with God, sin, love, nothingness, depression and also battling with being in a void. His other book, “Loving Lauren & Lauren” is his third novel earlier having published “The Starry Night” and “The Unlikely Indians” in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

He further shared that his third novel has layers of meaning dwelling on the fractured human mind, and what we go through as human beings. But the deepest layer within the book, he revealed is a love story.

Kikon also expressed that he writes not so much to make money out of it but because he views writing as his dedication to the art even if his books do not sell.
