Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday received a telephone call from the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, PMO informed in a press release. In their conversation, Modi was said to have expressed deep condolences and sympathy for those killed and wounded as a result of the terrorist attacks in Israel.

Modi also conveyed to Netanyahu that the people of India stand in solidarity with Israel and reiterated that India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

PMO also mentioned that Modi highlighted the issue of safety and security of Indian citizens in Israel, to which the Israeli PM assured full cooperation and support.

Modi and Netanyahu agreed to remain in close touch, the statement also added.
