The Department of Land Resources, Peren District organized an inauguration-cum-distribution programme of Agro-Food Processing Machines under Livelihood, Micro-Enterprises and Business Development component of Prime Minister Krishi Sinchayee Yojna (Watershed Development Component) (WDC-PMKSY 2.0) villages at DPO Office, Jalukie Town on Monday, DIPR informed.
District Project Officer, LRD, Alemla Aier in her keynote address explained about the importance of cultivating entrepreneurial skill to the villagers. She also emphasized on the objective of the Department in promoting three Es i.e., Economy, Ecology and Equity.

New Jalukie Village Council Chairman, Liangkebo in his sharing stated that the department is doing a tremendous job in bringing about much required changes to New Jalukie Micro Watershed and PMKSY- WDC 2.0 villages in general.
Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS in his address stated that the department of Land Resources is very active and pro-farmers oriented. The works and activities carried out by the department are well organise and result oriented. Reacting to the DPO’s remarks, he pointed out that additional ‘E’ should also be included in its objective which is culturing the “Entrepreneurial Capacity” of the stakeholders.
Later on, the Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated and distributed the multi- purpose solar dryer, vegetable oil expeller and rice huller machines to the stakeholders of PMKSY-WDC 2.0.
The programme was chaired by Inspector, LRD, Rongsenkaba, while dedicatory prayer was said by Pastor Ihusing.
