Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a conclave on Saturday to promote positive thoughts, hard work and perseverance in youths of Pedi village, Peren district, Nagaland.
The conclave was attended by 11 individuals including local youth, school and college dropouts of the village.
The goal of the initiative was to encourage the youth to work and strive for excellence in the respective fields to bring about meaningful and impactful changes in the society, Jalukie Bn stated.

At the conclave, the troops of the Assam Rifles underlined the need to address the health issues of adolescent and youths. A range of social issues such as drug addiction, unemployment, violence, etc. were also discussed. The youths were also made aware that a concerted effort is required to address such challenges by the youth.
The local youth and the students who attended the conclave appreciated the gesture of the Assam Rifles apart from expressing their willingness to maintain close liaison with the security forces. They also showed gratitude for the efforts to bring welfare and mutual cooperation in the area, the statement from the Assam Rifles said.
