Peren DPDB conducts monthly meeting, discusses shortage of Math and Science teachers in Govt schools

Peren: House agrees to recommend registration of 5 societies

The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held today at the DC’s Conference Hall, Peren under the chairmanship of DC & Vice-Chairman DPDB Peren, Hiazu Meru.

After the review of the previous meeting minutes, the Board discussed and deliberated on the following agendas which includes: Shortage of Mathematics and Science Teacher in Govt. Schools under Peren District; review of Independence Day 2024 celebration; beautification of Peren District Headquarter; ‘Green Peren’ an initiative of DPDB Peren; Chief Minister’s Life Insurance Scheme (CMLIS) for Peren District Government employees; creation of Health Sub-Centre at New Jalukie; reviving/formation of Officer’s Club, Peren and Inter-departmental tournament.

The board also agreed to recommend the proposal for registration of various Societies namely: Delta Brothers Society, Nkwarew Village, Jalukie; Hairang Co-operative Society, Jalukie; Zeme Baptist Churches Association, Jalukie; Tazei Development Foundation, New Jalukie and Christian School, Tesen.

Officials from Horticulture Department presented departmental activities through PowerPoint. The Department of Agriculture was assigned to give PowerPoint presentation in the next meeting.

New board members, ADC Tening, K. Furhesie Nyuwi and NZPO President, Zandi Domta, were introduced during the meeting.
