The Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) organized a felicitation programme for the successful students of HSLC & HSSLC on Friday, DIPR has informed. The honoured students included Asmita Mukherjee (Rank 11 & Subject Topper), Rebika Tamang (Subject Topper) and Nambagwangle (Governor’s Award for Govt. School),
The Deputy Chief Minister and DPDB Peren, T.R. Zeliang also felicitated Asenla Pongen, the Principal of Govt. Hr. Sec. School Jalukie for her excellent service for consistently achieving above average pass percentage in HSLC Exams and Officers from various departments involved in adoption of Schools.
According to DIPR, the Deputy Chief Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students and said that success is not merely measured by marks and ranks, but by the growth they have experienced and the knowledge they have gained. He also acknowledged the dedicated faculty and the respective institutions since their commitment to nurturing and educating the students has been exemplary.
To the parents and guardians of the students, Zeliang said their unwavering support and belief in their children have played a pivotal role in their success, as they have been the pillars of their children strength, guiding them through their academic journey and instilling in them the values of hard work and resilience. Further, Zeliang encouraged the students to be bold, curious and most importantly be kind and humble and carry forward the spirit of excellence and make a positive impact wherever they go.
Earlier, during the DPDB meeting chaired by Dy. CM & Chairman, DPDB Peren, T.R. Zeliang at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren, the House re-constituted the LADP Verification Committee for 6-Tening and 7-Peren ACs. For Tening AC: ADC Tening is the Convener while SDO PWD (R&B) Tening and BDO Tening are members. Menwhile, for Peren AC: ADC Jalukie is the Convener, and SDO PWD (R&B) Jalukie and BDO Peren are members.
The members also discussed on extension of land patta cancellation at Peren New HQ. wherein the house decided to extend the deadline up to the month of December 2024. The proposal for construction of water reservoirs at Peren New HQ. and proposal for SDRF personnel at Peren District was also approved to be forwarded to the higher ups for necessary action.
The house also deliberated on the agenda of ban on hunting at Peren New HQ, wherein the DC said an order in this regard will be issued by the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
