The monthly Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting for the month of November was held under the chairmanship of DC & Vice Chairman DPDB Peren, Vineet Kumar at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren on November 7.

According to DIPR, the Board held a brief review of the decision taken in the previous meeting, after which the following agendas were deliberated upon and approved: Construction of waiting shed at Ngaulong village under Tening Sub-Division and the proposal for construction of Patient’s Guest House at District Hospital, Peren.

ADC Peren, Keyiranding Hegui who is also the Convener of the Inter Departmental Sports meet 2023 highlighted the progress of the Committee. He informed that the tournament is proposed to be held from November 28 to 30 this year exclusively for Employees of all Government Departments based/posted in Peren District. Hegui also informed that besides Badminton this year the Committee has decided to incorporate more activities which includes Carrom, Arm Wrestling, Chess, Table Tennis and Penalty Shoot-out. Further, Hegui sought for active participation from all the Departments for the successful conduct of the tournament.

Detailed PowerPoint presentations on departmental activities were delivered by PWD (R&B) and Water Resources Department respectively.

The DC & Vice Chairman DPDB Peren also informed the members that the next DPDB meeting cum Picnic will be held on December  6 at Tepuiki River and for which he appealed to the members to attend positively.
