The Inter Departmental Working Group (IDWG) ATMA Meeting under Extension Reforms was held on June 11 at the Secretariat Conference hall Kohima under the Chairmanship of IDWG and Agriculture Production Commissioner APC  Vyasan R, IAS.

The meeting was held to discuss the Agriculture Technology Management Agency Scheme, informed a press release.

In the meeting, a power point presentation  on achievements of ATMA during 2023-2024  and State Extension Work Plan  was presented by the Director of Agriculture and State Nodal Officer ATMA, M.Ben Yanthan. He reminded all t’e AHODs and HODs to instruct and direct their respective District officials for active participation on convergence mode in Block Technology Team(BTT).

Later after the meeting, the Best ATMA district Award and Best Farmers Friend Award was also organised. The best ATMA district award was given to Peren District. Further, out of 556 Farmers Friend, 15 farmers, one each from 15 ATMA in the State, were selected and awarded the best Farmers Friend award with certificates and citation.

The Awards has been initiated to motivate the farming community to continue working tirelessly for the welfare of the farming community and to achieved the goals for the Agriculture in the State for a prosperous and sustainable Development.

The press release also infromed that the Award was also held to recognised the farmers’ outstanding achievements of their ability to influence fellow farmers in Agriculture Production through their innovation spirit and  perseverance.

During the meeting, ATMA activities magazine was also released by APC.

The  meeting was attended from all the AHODs & HODs of allied departments.
