The Zeliangrong Students’ Union (N) and Zeliangrong Mipui Organization (N) organised a felicitation programme for HSLC and HSSLC Toppers and Meritorious Students under NBSE and CBSE Examination 2023 at St. Xavier’s Jubilee Hall, Jalukie Town on 8 July 2023, DIPR said.

The joint function of the ZSU and ZMO was graced by Joint Chief Executive Officer, NSDMA, Johnny Ruangmei as the Special Guest.

Addressing the event, Johnny Ruangmei said the future that we want “must be imagined, created and executed” and therefore the young achievers must imagine the future that they want and should not just await to happen. Stating that today’s generation requires an exponential leader, he encouraged the young achievers to be exponential leaders to respond to the exponential world.

He also added, “Exponential leaders are change agents, they’re responsible for championing a new vision for the future, by establishing an organizational climate and culture that fosters learning, adaptability, and speed”.

Ruangmei further said it is time to create a culture by the leaders of today so that the next generation will be able to celebrate the culture that we leave behind.

The students were also exhorted by the President of ZMO, while the short speeches were delivered by the toppers.

Earlier, the welcome address was proposed by ZSU (N) President, Aakam Pame, while prayer for the successful students was offered by Rev. Izieteilung Terieng, Former ES, ZBCC. Later, ZSU (N) Gen. Secy. Kibouwi proposed a vote of thanks.

Altogether 24 students were felicitated by ZSU and ZMO at the program.
