PHED Rural Division, Dimapur, held an activity on the Demonstration on Waste Management Techniques on Segregation, Composting and Toilet Maintenance, on August 13 at Dhansiripar, Chumoukedima. The demonstration is a part of Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata – Swachhata Dialogue & Awareness Programme.

The event was graced by the Special Guest, SDO (Civil) Dhansiripar Sub Division, Vijoyo Swuro, NCS. In his speech, he underscored the link between hygiene, and community well-being. He reminded the gathering that charity begins at home, and so does cleanliness. He called on every household to start cleanliness from their kitchens and immediate surroundings.

EE PHED Rural, Er Nirie-e Nisa, in her address, shared her vision of making Dhansiripar Village a clean model village and encouraged the villagers to make efforts towards making it a cleaner Dhansiripar Village.

JE Dhansiripar, Er Hotolu Sema, led the practical demonstration of waste management techniques (Segregation, Composting and Toilet Maintenance).

The campaign selfie booth was also set up to promote the message of Swachhata.

Participants included the women folk, WATSAN committee members, students and concerned public as stakeholders in keeping the village aesthetically clean and beautiful.
