Agri-Link Road from Khulazu Basa to Tavürü in Phek district was inaugurated by Neposo Thelüo, IAS, commissioner & secretary, Rural Development Department, on 21 September 2023.

Thelüo in his speech mentioned that the NRGES scheme is one mission to check rural migration to urban areas. He stressed that the wages, now being directly credited to the account of the beneficiaries, are not entirely entitled to them without corresponding work being done by the beneficiaries.

He advised the villagers of the creation of assets for self-sustenance as the assistance from the central government is not perpetual. Thelüo also spoke on the importance of income generation through ecotourism, rural/cultural tourism while simultaneously striving for conservation and preservation of the ecosystem and our cultural treasures.

It may be mentioned that the Khulazu Basa to Tavürü Agri-link road was constructed under SASCI (RD) for Financial Year 2022-23.

The program was chaired by VCC Vesato Tetseo. Head GB Resamu Rhakho delivered a welcome note, Neshuyi Rhakho (VDB Secretary) presented a brief report of the Agri-link road project while Vezhosa Chüzho pronounced complimentary note. Invocation and benediction were respectively invoked by KBBC Pastor (KBBC) Pastor Kehuve Chüzho and CRC Pastor Khrünühü Rhakho. CYE KBBC presented a special song. RD Joint Director, Deputy Director, PD DRDA, Chetheba & Kikruma BDO, Phek attended the program.
