The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has announced that it will be temporarily suspending its ongoing agitation following the assurance from the General Manager, PMU, NHIDCL, Pfutsero to address the issues on the Kohima-Jessami road.

As part of its agitation, the student body had sealed the PMU office at Pfutsero. The CSU is demanding that NHIDCL clear blockages from the road, repair the potholes and install adequate drainage system.

“Your commitment to addressing the issues we have raised, including project delays, environmental impacts, and the proper handling of community interests, is acknowledged”, the CSU stated in its letter to the General Manager.
