Phek District Task Force holds meeting on Covid-19

The Phek District Task Force on Covid-19 conducted its routine meeting on 25 November at DPDB Hall, DC Office, Phek.

The meeting was chaired by DPM NHM Phek Sede Rupreo.

Kumar Ramnikant (IAS), Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DTF Phek, said the percentage of vaccination for Covid-19 in Phek District was not up to the mark. He, therefore, requested the Medical Department to make coordinate with the School Education Department for organising more awareness programmes on Covid-19 in schools where students and their guardians could be well informed about the importance of its vaccination to be taken.

The DC also called on the NGOs, tribal Hohos, church leaders, Mothers’ Association and others in the district to come forward for an awareness campaign on Covid-19 in the days to come.

During the meeting, a Powerpoint Presentation of previous immunization programmes was made by Dr Pewezo Khalo, DPO RCH/UIP Phek.

The District Task Force also discussed organising more awareness programmes on Covid-19 in Phek district.
