The Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting at the DPDB hall on 10 January.

The meeting began with ADC Meluri Albert Ezung, NCS, welcoming all the members.

According to a DIPR report, the agenda of the meeting was the change of school name of A G School Chesezu Basa in Phek to Tsuswu Chesezu. The house agreed to recommend the name change for government approval.

L Imlinungba Lungkumer, Jailer, and Venezohu Dawhuo, Superintendent of Excise, presented detailed and comprehensive PowerPoint presentations of all the activities and functions of the Department of Prison (Jail) and Department of Excise.

EAC Phek Omegali, NCS, delivered the proposed work distributions for the forthcoming Republic Day celebration to be held in Phek on 26 January.

The meeting entrusted the Department of Evaluation and the Department of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection to give the PowerPoint presentations in the next DPDB meeting.
